"Inspired by Claire" Art Exhibit
May 3-29

Once Virtual    On the cusp of the pandemic, the Frederick Art Club had just launched an ambitious campaign to raise more than $250,000 to create and install a bronze statue of Frederick native and legendary fashion designer Claire McCardell. Among the planned fundraisers was an art exhibit called “Inspired by Claire." When public health restrictions compelled the club to go to plan B, they instead produced a virtual show including interviews with the artists in their studios.

Now a Public Exhibit     Now, those artists have gathered their truly inspired work for an authentic, in-person exhibit open to the public throughout May. The artists are Colleen Clapp, Marion Griffin, Jane Dunsmore, Linda Moran, Karen Peacock, Mary Ryan Reeves, Cristy Stup and Sarah Hempl Irani. All art is for sale.
