Thirty-eight women joined TFAC's September 10 meeting via Zoom--so many that our faces wouldn't all fit on a single screen on our monitors. Many thanks to Marilyn Bagel for arranging a way for us to connect in the comfort of our own homes--and without masks! It went so well, that we're Zooming our next meeting, October 8.
The talented actress/singer Florrie Bagel (left) shared her professional journey and concluded her program with a few musical selections, among them an introspective song she wrote herself. (BTW, Florrie is Marilyn's daughter.)
There were good news reports from TFAC executive committee members, including Linda Moran's announcement that the first phase of the Claire McCardell Project is fully funded and on schedule for a 2021 unveiling and that fundraising is now in effect for a garden to surround the statue. The next phase of the project is an elegant garden to surround the bronze sculpture. Find out more here.
