The 2020-2021 recipient of a $1,500 scholarship from the Frederick Art Club Scholarship Fund is Jessica Fitzgerald. Jessica will be a junior at Hood College this fall, majoring in art education.
"My dream is to share my love of art with students in Frederick County Public Schools," Jessica said. "I believe that art serves as a tool for communication and expression that can benefit people of all ages, backgrounds, skill levels, and learning styles."
Congratulations, Jessica! And special thanks to Art Club members Audrey Farnsworth and Norvis Long-Parker who represented the Art Club on the Community Foundation selection Committee and to former Scholarship Committee Co-chairs Carolyn Greiner and Dale Dowling, whose efforts helped grow our fund.
